Pistol Mounted Optics - Instructor
November 3rd, 4th, and 5th, 2025 (Price $595)

This two and a half day (24 hour) “Instructor – Level” course will provide firearms instructors with the skills and hands on experience needed to train Law Enforcement Officers in the use of Pistol Mounted Optics (PMO). Students will learn the advantages and disadvantages of the PMO, how to deal with optic malfunctions, while building confidence in the use of the PMO. Objective-based training techniques will be utilized to get maximum performance from the students while using a PMO.

Topics Covered:

• Proper presentation of the pistol (draw stroke refinement)
• Target focus concept
• Use of optic or suppressor height sights
• Advantages and limitations of a pistol mounted optic
• Zeroing procedures
• Overcoming PMO malfunctions and occlusions
• Acceptable sight picture
• Trigger management (prep and reset under recoil)
• Single handed operations
• Shooting while moving
• Recoil management techniques
• Low and no light with a PMO
• Use of cover
• Multiple target engagement techniques

15 Student Minimum / 25 Student Maximum
Once you have pre-registered, if a student needs to cancel, we will refund the tuition for that student less, a $100.00 cancelation fee. If cancellation occurs within one week of the course, there will be no refund, however tuition can be applied to another class date. If the class does not meet the minimum requirement of student enrollment the class will be canceled or rescheduled. If cancelled, you will receive a full refund, if rescheduled, your tuition will be reapplied to the new class date upon your approval.
